Third COASTHazar cohort graduates in Delft
The third cohort of COASTHazar students (2024–2026) has graduated! On 18 September 2026, 22 COASTHazar graduates received their diplomas at IHE Delft. They took the stage together with graduates of the Research MSc in Water and Sustainable Development and three other Erasmus Mundus programmes.
IHE Delft Rector Graham Jewitt opened the ceremony by urging the graduates to "seize the opportunity to make impact. It is critically important that young voices are heard." IHE Delft Programme Coordinator Alvaro Semedo addressed the COASTHazar graduates and told them their future begins today.
In her speech on behalf of the cohort, student representative Taisa Salgueiro recalled IHE Delft's founding idea that knowledge and water should cross borders, especially between the Global North and Global South: "Water does not respect borders, neither should knowledge." The graduates now join IHE Delft's alumni network of more than 25,000 water professionals, and the growing COASTHazar alumni community working on coastal resilience around the world.
Congratulations to all our graduates!
