Twenty COASTHazar students earned their MSc degrees in Coastal Hazards, Risks, Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation at the vibrant joint graduation ceremony at IHE Delft, on 17 September 2024. It is a remarkable closure after the rigorous two years of courses, seminars, conferences, fieldwork, and field trips.
Their adventure began at the University of Cantabria, where they immersed themselves in the foundational elements of coastal processes from September to December 2022. This was followed by inspiring coastal modelling skills at IHE Delft from January to July 2023, and finally, a rich experience at the University of Algarve from September 2023 to January 2024, where they developed field work and building with nature skills
They conclude their masters in 2024 after concluding their research thesis with projects mainly in cooperation with industry partners and research institutes across the globe, in which they are tackling relevant issues in coastal hazards, risk analysis and building with nature soilutions.
We are thrilled to welcome these future coastal experts, equipped with a robust understanding of climate change impacts and adaptations. Their passion and knowledge promise to make a significant difference in the field.
